The UTube pictures of this plane are worth saving & sharing. About 30 years ago, a Honeywell engineer and friend of mine, Frank Mock, at Tampa, Fl restored an Australian Sea Fury to similar standards of Cooper's Sea Fire. Frank's Sea Fury was also best plane at the Oshkosh Annual Fly In. Frank is now deceased, circa 2000.

I think the planes were near equivalent in technology, performance and quality of restoration. These (few) planes were the fastest propeller driven vehicles ever flown, since they neared Mach 1 airspeed. Frank's plane was later sold to Russ Francis in California, All Pro Football tight end. It was accidentally landed gear up on a paved r/w with limited damage. Frank was asked, but would not restore it again. It was a beauty and might still be. Others might know of its current location
